In my last blog, we discussed keyword placement in Content SEO. In this addition, I want to talk about keyword placement in Blog SEO. We can certainly also apply this set of measurements to other types of articles posted across the web as well.

For the folllowing measurements,  I am again sharing some statistics that are based upon testing that has been done by myself and other colleagues in the SEO Professional Services industry. So, let’s take a look at the SEO information that can help you get better PR ratings for your website.

Blog SEO Keyword in the H1 Tag(4%)

So, What is an H1 tag. For visual purposes, I have included one here.

H1 Tag: What Is an H1 Tag?

An H1 tag, or <H1> tag, is an HTML tag that defines the first, largest and most important heading on a page.  From the perspective of Blog SEO, including keywords in the H1 tag can communicate to search engines that the page is relevant to those keywords. To help the illustration, I have included one of my keywords in the H1 tag here, namely the keyword phrase “blog seo.”

Blog SEO Keyword in the First 100 Words in HTML on the Page (4%)

If you look at the first 100 words in this blog article, you will find my keyword for this particular blog seo article, “blog seo.” This is such a simple thing to do in any blog article. I realize that not everyone likes looking at article that have weird long tail phrases in them, use in ways that that do not represent good use of the English Language, but his is one thing you can do easily with almost any keyword phrase set. (An example of such a phrase might look like this ” Your Hot Springs Arkansas SEO Expert can help you ……”)

Keyword in your domain name  (7%)

I have preached this principle almost ad nausea. Unless you are planning on spending a ton of money on promotion and Pay Per Click Advertising, you had best make use of this principle. Get your main keyword in the domain name.  For example, one of my favorite websites is Vudu.com.  Now let’s be real,  who searches for the phrase “vudu” and expects to find a website dedicated to movies on demand.

Keyword in a subdomain (blogseo.celticozarksolutions.com) (4%)

Here is an example of how we might get points for the way we set up our subdomains for a website. In reverse, we might name the subdomain http://celticozarksolutions.com/blog-seo/. The point is, you can add keywords to subdomains created for your website, and pick up some extra SEO cudos for doing so. This might be the location of a blog for your main website.

Keyword placement in Blog SEO can be a simple, yet  effective way to help you get more PR Rating for your website. In addition, it helps to make it easier for users to find your website, based upon the way they are searching for information on the Internet.
